Resilience-Based Repair Strategy for Gas Network System and Water Network System in Urban City

In resilience-based frameworks, optimizing the repair strategy and approaches is important for recovery of function gas network systems (GNS) water (WNS). According to resilience quantification results GNS WNS a real example urban city in China, potential impact utilizing different sequences repair/replacement was investigated. First, Monte Carlo simulation-based method proposed search optimal sequence according skew trajectory (SRT). Under high seismic intensity conditions, significant difference between corresponding maximum SRT minimum indicates that choosing enhancement efficiency, especially when pipelines have experienced serious damage. We also discussed parallel strategy, which more consistent with practice, can greatly improve efficiency compared single pipeline under large damage conditions; however, minor levels, may result certain degree redundancy. Next, three were thoroughly compared, including point-by-point approach, whole replacement, hybrid approach. At condition (e.g., macroseismic IX), curves approach replacement are overall similar take less time economic cost than However, low, most efficient has shortest time. Therefore, choice should be determined by stakeholders based on specific pipeline’s situation. Finally, we calculated joint allocating weight factors WNS, represent proportion supply contributes community resilience.
